Yesterday I agreed, halfheartedly, to give up one of my days off and take a co-worker’s Monday shift. She was super appreciative and in the end I was just glad to help. At 9 this morning though, the regret really set in. Why am I volunteering for 8 hours on my feet! HERE is why. Just before my break at 12, my mom comes into work to say hi and tells me that she wants to buy me lunch, SWEET!. At 3 I get a text asking if I want a ticket to The New Pornographers show tonight, SUPER SWEET! At the show I find out Tokyo Police Club is opening, SUPER SWEET 16! During the show I see one of my best friends from life for the first time in 3 years, WTFSWEET! moral of the story: I helped someone out, then the universe helped me out.
