Story of the day

The AC unit in my room requires a remote to function.  Without said remote the unit is pretty much worthless seeing as the default settings are set to low speed, fan with no external controls to change them, and at 86 °F outside that’s about as useful trainset in my window . So what do I do? out of sheer pissedoff’ed’ness I grab my macbook pro remote and start hitting buttons. It’s gotta work right?  it’s all infrared. 3 buttons in and nothing is happening, great.  Then surprisingly…I WAS right! First I was able to change the unit to AC and then fan speed to high, PERFECT! I was all out of buttons too
